No, it’s not about the Stakhanov miners.

And not about the “Pearl Seekers” in Georges Bizet’s opera.

It’s about curious people who “dive” with their thoughts into the depths of a “Surface phenomenon” in order to understand those hidden, secret and INACCESSIBLE to our senses “mechanisms” that create this phenomenon.

Inaccessible to the senses, but accessible to rigorous analytical and synthetic thought.

Is this a good thing?

ABSOLUTELY!

It is only thanks to such people that we learn about the world around us and its patterns, which manifest themselves in a variety of phenomena and effects.

People who are capable of such an intellectual feat, often long and very difficult, deserve the most sincere and deep gratitude.

But, as often happens in human activity, in this noble and often self-sacrifying process, a certain “SIDE EFFECT” arises, the reason for which will be discussed later.

So, some curious seeker of truth plunges his thought into the depths of a phenomenon, no matter what, whether scientific, technical, military, social or any other.

And, diving, he tries to get to the bottom, to the very essence of the phenomenon, to its hidden causes and patterns. If he is endowed with the ability to dive deep enough, not poking around in shallow water and taking a little bit of subsurface currents, corals, etc. for the TRUE cause, but diving TO the MAIN AND DEFINING essence of the phenomenon, he SEES THE BOTTOM!

Now let’s try to understand not only WHAT he “sees on this bottom”, but what feelings he experiens at this time.

In theory, a feeling of deep satisfaction, because it is HIS MERIT, to dive to the very bottom and consider in detail what is the reason for the peculiarities of the phenomenon that he observed with HIS SENSES on the surface.

It seems to be the way it should be.. AFTER ALL, I SAW THE ESSENCE AND UNDERSTOOD THE MECHANISM!

I HAVE DIVED!!!

But unfortunately, his PRESETS work here, namely, WHAT HE EXPECTED TO SEE, and they often contradict what he actually saw!

HE DOESN’T LIKE THIS BOTTOM!

And, since these presuppositions are the DOMINANT CHAINS OF OUR CONSCIOUSNESS, the corresponding reaction is acutely negative and REJECTING the VISIBLE in order to appease DOGMAS!

What does such a diver do next?

Some people simply give up this activity, come to the surface and ERASE what they saw from their consciousness and memory. I didn’t see anything, I don’t know anything!

There are, however, more persistent seekers of truth. They see the bottom, which they DO NOT LIKE, because it contradicts the dogma-presuppositions. And they come up with a certain paranoid thought: THIS IS FALSE!

Someone or something created it to DECEIVE DIVERS.

There’s PROBABLY A SECOND, THIRD, or even multiple bottom.

My task, — such a diver thinks, — is to DIVE DEEPER THAN THIS BOTTOM, to break through this “camouflage” in order to discover another, REAL “NAKED TRUTH” under it, one that COINCIDES with my preset.

And he, forcefully throwing away the water with his hands and feet, tries to PUNCH this “FALSE” WITH his HEAD.

But THIS IS A REAL, REAL BOTTOM, and no matter how much you hit it with your head or even with a prudently seized crowbar, you can’t break through it. But our diver is persistent and he hammers the bottom tirelessly, and raises clouds of bottom silt. sand, objects lying on the bottom and in the muddy water stirred up by it, sees some flickering contours and shadows.

Which MUST NECESSARILY coincide with its preset.

He pops up and begins to retell everything he “saw” to himself and others, but in noticeable accordance with the ready-made dogma.

As in Schiller’s ballad (translated by Zhukovsky) “The Cup”.

It’s a pity for such people, but there are many of them, whole categories of people, seekers of a chimera that has long been petrified in their brains.

IN THEIR DELUSIONAL FANTASIES, imposed by the same presets.

What is the reason for this?

The same Psychological Law of Archimedes:

“Any unusual or unpleasant thought immersed in consciousness is pushed out of it with a force proportional to the “volume” of their strangeness or unpleasantness.”

This law clearly indicates the reason for this, sometimes just a paranoid search for something that coincides with a predetermined dominant line of thinking.

Are there many such “divers”?

A lot! Almost everything!

Conclusion: You have to dive, you have to look for the bottom, but be able to understand that you see the BOTTOM AND THERE ARE NO OTHER BOTTOMS THERE!
