Two kinds of struggle for existence.

Why do we love our grandchildren so much?

They will avenge for us to our children!

Russian poetess unknown to the author

Interspecific (outside the herd) and intraspecific (inside the herd) struggle in relation to the so-called people.

And the main question: What develops intelligence more?

Outside-or-within-a-species, (inter-herd or intra-herd)?

By answering this question, we immediately get an explanation for many of the features that distinguish humans from the million other species of living beings inhabiting the Earth, as well as the intraspecific differences that exist in the human genus itself. When they talk about the weak intellectual development of the northern tribes, they usually refer to the harsh natural conditions, saying that in such difficult conditions all the forces of intelligence are directed towards simple biological survival in harsh climatic conditions and therefore …

These people have neither the energy nor the time to engage in all sorts of “abstract” thoughts about anything else, such as in the Mediterranean climate zone. The natural conditions there are much better and easier, and therefore these peoples had the time and energy to develop intelligence.

But conditions are NO WORSE in Africa and in equatorial Latin America too!

In addition, if this argument had at least some reasonable justification, then animals in a favorable climate would develop intellectually faster and acquire intelligence no worse than humans.

So that’s not the point, and anyway, intelligence develops as a means of the fiercest struggle for existence and only for this, and not for the sake of idle thoughts.

(That’s why I’ve said more than once that a Paradise full of God’s goodness is inhabited by complete idiots, because “it’s GOOD from all sides” and THERE’s NOTHING to think about at all!

NO NEED!

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.”)

The Law of Intellectual Conformity to an Ecological Niche provides an explanation of the degree of development of any intelligence. From the above, the inevitable conclusion follows that the most important factor developing the intelligence of living beings is NOT the INTERSPECIFIC, but the INTRASPECIFIC struggle for existence.

And, with regard to comparing the intelligence of different ethnic groups, we come to the conclusion that the INTRASPECIFIC struggle of peoples and tribes in favorable natural conditions (for example, in the Mediterranean) was much more brutal and ruthless than the INTERSPECIFIC struggle of peoples in other climatic conditions, worse or better compared to the average geographical strip.

In the Mediterranean and Asia Minor or Central Asia, the natural conditions really did not impose such harsh demands on people, and therefore the intraspecific struggle intensified and, accordingly, required maximum mental effort for successful survival.

That’s what DEVELOPED the INTELLECT!

It can be argued that cannibalism still exists in Equatorial Africa, Papua New Guinea, and probably in the jungles of South America, but these tribes are by no means highly intelligent. After all, if cannibalism created intelligence (albeit cannibalistic, but high enough and sophisticated, malicious, treacherous, ruthless), then these tribes should be solid geniuses.

CONTRADICTION!!!!

Again, let’s recall the Law of Intellectual Conformity: If intelligence corresponds to a niche, it should be neither higher nor lower than that required!

OPTIMAL!

It means that these cannibal tribes have it exactly corresponding to their niche.

This means that the NICHE does not require further development.

Why?

Because cannibalism, unlike in the previous two million years, did not remain NARROWLY INTRASPECIFIC, that is, intra-tribal or even intra-clan, but turned into an EXTRA-TRIBAL, NON-NARROW-CLAN form.

Specifically, it has become NON-INTRASPECIFIC.

Secondly, it has ceased to be the MAIN and most productive source of DAILY food, it has moved from the category of a DAILY NORM of nutrition and existence, into a kind of pleasant ADDITION to the norm, “for sweets”.

All this WEAKENED the severity of the NARROW INTRASPECIFIC struggle and the development of intelligence stopped, because there was no need for its further improvement.

Faciant meliora potentes.

P.S.
Instead of the term “interspecific”, I initially used a more correct and accurate term – “NON-SPECIFIC”, that is, the fight against certain EXTERNAL factors! But then, having succumbed, alas, to the herd reflex,
I
replaced it with the “GENERALLY ACCEPTED – interspecific”, although it is inaccurate and
narrowing
the framework of the population’s struggle with more general factors

climatic, geographical and others. For example, a lack of food is NOT an interspecific problem, it is a SHORTAGE and nothing more!
