China has created a cooling cement that reduces the temperature of buildings

Scientists from the Southeastern University of China have developed an innovative type of cement that can reflect sunlight and lower the temperature of buildings without using air conditioners.

The new material is based on photonic architecture and self-organized ettringite crystals, which provides record-breaking reflection of sunlight (96.2%) and high emissivity in the infrared range (96%).

The tests showed that at an air temperature of 38.4 °C, the surface of the cooling cement was 5.4 degrees lower than that of a conventional coating. In conditions of direct sunlight, the traditional cement was heated to almost 59 °C, while the innovative cement remained much cooler.

In addition, the new cement is characterized by high strength, UV resistance and extreme conditions, and its production is considered cost-effective and scalable. Scientists note that the mass introduction of such a material will reduce energy consumption for air conditioning and will be a step towards reducing the carbon emissions of cities.

THIS IS NOT MY COMMENT ON THE USUAL LIES aimed at complete illiterate idiots!

Excerpts from articles on the Internet!

The reflection coefficient of a mirror (or specular reflection coefficient) is the fraction of light incident on a mirror that returns as reflected light rather than being absorbed or passing through the mirror. It depends on the coating material of the mirror, and silver coatings can reach a reflection coefficient of up to 0.96 (96%), while for ordinary glass it is much lower.

Factors affecting the reflection coefficient:

The main factor is the material that covers the glass base of the mirror. Traditionally, silver and aluminum, as well as other coatings, are used to achieve high reflectivity.

.

The surface of the mirror itself, i.e. glass, also plays a role in the overall reflection, although in mirrors the main function of reflection lies on a thin layer of metal.

.

With an oblique incidence of light, the reflection coefficient can vary, reaching 100% with full internal reflection, which is not the case with an ordinary mirror, but is a general reflection principle.

.

The reflectivity of a mirror can vary depending on the wavelength of the light, which is called the spectral reflection coefficient.

Examples of coefficients:

.

The silver coating provides a high reflection coefficient, reaching 0.96 (96%).

Silvering gives the highest reflection coefficient (up to 0.96), but it is the least resistant of all coatings – it fades very quickly from the action of the atmosphere and loses its reflective properties. In modern optical devices, silvering is used only for mirrors with internal reflection, where the protection of the coating layer is easily achieved by applying a thin layer of copper (electrolytically) and another layer of protective varnish to the silver. The silvering process is performed by two methods – chemical (for example, from a solution of silver nitrate) and evaporation in a vacuum.

Aluminizing gives a reflection coefficient of up to 0.86 and is applied by evaporation in vacuum. The resistance of aluminizing is significantly higher than silvering, and when working in laboratory conditions it does not require protection; when working in a humid atmosphere, protection is required, which is carried out by applying a transparent layer of another substance (zinc sulphide, silicon monoxide, etc.) to aluminum. The disadvantage of aluminizing is the low mechanical strength of the coating, which makes it unsuitable in cases where the mirror is subjected to mechanical stress due to operating conditions.

(Ettringite is a mineral formed during cement hydration and in high-sulfate soils that can cause significant expansion and cracking in concrete structures, particularly through a process called Delayed Ettringite Formation (DEF). While initially a normal hydration product, excessive sulfate can lead to its re-formation with greater volume, resulting in durability problems. It is a calcium aluminum sulfate hydrate with the formula Ca₆Al₂(SO₄)₃(OH)₁₂·26H₂O and appears as needle-like or prismatic crystals. Ettringite isa calcium hydrosulfoaluminate, a mineral with the formula Ca6Al2(SO4)3(OH)12·26H2O Ettringite, formed during cement hardening, is an integral part of the structure of cement stone and determines the formation of its early strength.)

There is NOTHING to add and comment on the false nonsense about the “invention of Chinese scientists” using, for “plausibility”, a couple of pseudoscientific terms!

It would be easier to simply polish the plates and cover them with a thin mirror layer of at least aluminum! Because ONLY THE SURFACE OF THE MATERIAL REFLECTS THE RAYS, and there is no need to hide some fantastic “photonic-architectural crystals of ettringite” in the depths of the cement, where light simply cannot penetrate!

In terms of level, it is very similar to the invention made by bats in caves near Wuhan or marine life (phyto-zoo-plankton) at the local fish market. These talented representatives of Chinese flora and fauna invented a virus that killed eight million people in Europe and America.

Another blatant lie for cretins based on the principle: A fool believes everything!

And a very clever statement by Dr. Joseph Goebbels:

A lie repeated many times becomes the truth!
