The brain controls attention in milliseconds: neurons anticipate important signals

Scientists have found that the human brain is able to adjust attention at an incredible speed – in just a few milliseconds. He predicts the significance of stimuli in advance, preparing for perception even before the information is fully received. The study is published in the journal of Neuroscience.

The study showed that the neurons of the cerebral cortex work as a dynamic filter: they amplify important signals and mute distracting ones. This mechanism explains how a person can instantly react to danger or focus on a task in an environment of information chaos.

The discovery has practical significance: It will help develop treatments for attention deficit disorder and cognitive disorders, and will also form the basis for new artificial intelligence systems.

Another example of the many dogmatic stupidities of these “pseudo-scientists”!

The brain cannot decide anything in milliseconds, because the firing time of ONE neuron is equal to or greater than one thousandth of a second!!!

Anyone who has read even popular literature on the activity of nerve cells knows that neurochemical processes in the body DO NOT function at such a speed, especially certain chains of neurons with thousands and millions of nerve cells and synapses between them. All this requires tens and hundreds of milliseconds in the most favorable case! Just look at these idiotic brain biorhythms! All these “brain waves reflecting brain activity, electroencephalograms – EEG! In fact, they only reflect the idiocy of the cretins who take these EEGs seriously. Where is their frequency and where are the milliseconds???
