Biology and all its branches, including medicine, implicitly, but with dogmatic consistency and no less dogmatic stubbornness, base all their research, conclusions, correctness and finality on teleology:

EVERYTHING IN A LIVING ORGANISM IS DESIGNED TO…

In a living organism, all the organs and cells exist because they exist!

FOR NO ONE AND FOR NOTHING!

Does the heart exist TO pump blood and thus supply all the cells of the body with oxygen and nutrition, as well as remove all kinds of harmful substances and carbon dioxide from them?

Does the stomach exist TO be a food receiver and part of the digestive system?

Do the lungs exist TO provide gas exchange, saturate the blood with oxygen, and remove excess carbon dioxide?

And so this teleological dogma, perhaps even unconsciously, extends to any organ, cells, and processes of a living organism.

Which is basically WRONG!

NO, THEY DON’T EXIST IN ORDER TO…

They exist because they exist and do not know and do not want to know about other organs and cells.

The sun does NOT exist, contrary to the idiotic thought of Hegel and Engels, who fully agrees with him in this, IN order TO heat the Earth!

Just as the Earth itself does NOT exist IN order FOR life to arise and develop on it!

And other stars, and galaxies, and the universe DO NOT EXIST TO officiousely revolve around the CENTER OF EVERYTHING – a human descendant of cannibals and appease his dull gaze with his radiance at night!

This teleology is part of an innate anthropocentrism:

Everything in the world exists for the sake of satisfying our belly-genitals needs!

No!

The WORLD DOES NOT EXIST FOR US! It arose due to certain astrophysical processes of attraction and repulsion, mutually competing and passing into each other. The world exists simply because it exists, not TO…!

Why does a hedgehogs have needles?

To defend themselves?

No, they developed as a result of the evolution of its physiology, at some point, a certain biochemical reaction of certain cells turned out to be “beneficial” (that is, creating better conditions of existence and division for some other cells). So their needles began to grow. Without any “external” teleological need TO DEFEND them! But then, natural selection began to take effect and it turned out that hedgehogs without a good needle-like “fur coat” died in the jaws of predators, and hedgehogs with a GOOD, dense, developed, and able to bulge sharply at the will of the hedgehog’s brain were able to survive and give genetically similar offspring!

Similarly, the porcupine! Who can drop needles FOR SOME internal reasons unrelated to self-defense! But it was this genetic quality that turned out to be useful in the same process of natural selection, so it was those individuals who had the needle-dropping process (for purely “internal” reasons) in their genes that were able to live and reproduce successfully!

Why does nettle’s “bristle” burn! Not to protect her, but simply some physiological processes in her body turned out to be convenient and beneficial if certain substances are removed from the body and accumulate at the ends of the bristles, so that they can be easily ejected from them when exposed to external influences (touch). Nettles “don’t give a damn” if they burn someone or something with their “urine”. It is important for her to isolate certain waste products from herself into easily discarded peripheral processes!

If these mentioned qualities arose for self-defense, then why didn’t many other living beings also acquire the same thing TO PROTECT their existence? Why don’t rabbits and hares have this? After all, a rabbit or a hare with needles like a hedgehog or a porcupine would not be such easy prey for predators. Or they would have the abilities of an electric eel and a stingray, when approaching the mouth or paws of a predator, to strike it with an electric discharge of hundreds or thousands of volts!

Hence the simple conclusion: Do not confuse CAUSE WITH EFFECT!

The reason for poisonous teeth in snakes is not to kill their prey with poison, but that certain biochemical processes that are “beneficial” to the conglomerate of cells (cellular landfill) that make up their body have been reduced to the accumulation and ejection of certain waste products from the body through the hollow channels of the front teeth. But it was precisely THIS ability in individuals in whom it worked effectively that proved beneficial for survival in the process of natural selection! And so it began to be transmitted genetically to descendants!

The language of animals and humans did not arise as a means of communication. This is his secondary function!

The primary one is the formation of certain neural circuits in the brain or ganglia – CONCEPTS, MODELS that reflect perceived signals. When a being lives among its own kind, the environment is the same, the way of thinking is the same, and the perceptions are the same, only then does the process of exchanging already established concepts reflecting similar “feelings” arise, and it becomes a means of communication between related beings!

Summary: It is necessary to discard this explicit or implicit teleological justification of any life as an absolutely false and ridiculous dogma that prevents a clear and sober understanding of reality!
