The vast majority of seekers of extraterrestrial intelligence, it seems to me, draw their pictures of evolution on a plane. But it is necessary, I think, go to the third or even different additional mental dimensions.

What is the “plane” of thinking of these enthusiastic pathfinders of cosmic intelligence? In my opinion, their main mistake is that life on Earth developed according to a kind of smooth and regular program from unicellular to multicellular, and in multicellular to the differentiation and increase quantitative and qualitative of heterogeneous cells. This inevitably leads to the appearance of beings endowed, like humans, with high intelligence, which no other species has before them.

So, life on Earth has existed for two billion years, during which time hundreds of thousands of different species of living beings have arisen and died out. Today, according to one estimate, there are about eight hundred thousand of them, according to others, it exceeds a million. And among this multitude of species, which usually range in age from several tens of millions of years to several hundred, carcharodon sharks have existed for three hundred million years, bees and ants for about the same amount, there has never been anything like humans! Mammals are several tens of millions of years old. And neither herbivores nor predators have created anything during this time. The lifetime of each living species is quite decent.

So, why did only man manage to develop such intelligence, which surpass all

these hundreds of thousands and a million other, incomparably more ancient species? And man as such has existed for about two million years. Why no sharks, no bees, no ants. a hundred and fifty times more ancient, have they acquired a powerful intelligence, compared to which our two millionth is just a newborn piece of flesh?

Here it is necessary to recall the Law of Intellectual Conformity to an Ecological Niche.

Any creature must not only biologically, anatomically and physiologically, meet its ecological niche, but also intellectually. The niche in which he lives places certain demands on him to adapt to it. And the creature must be able to respond successfully to these requirements. Otherwise he will die! But if the intelligence of a creature (a type of creatures) successfully meets all the requirements of a niche, this species can exist for a long time. So the above creatures not only biologically, but also intellectually corresponded to their niche, and there was NO NEED for FURTHER improvement and enhancement!

And so it was with all kinds of creatures that inhabited our planet for a long time.

But a misfortune happened to monkeys in Equatorial Africa: As they moved along it and grew in quantity and quality, BUT CORRESPONDING to their niche, they happened to be dangerously close to another rare geological event: The appearance of uranium salts deposits almost to the surface. RADIOACTIVE!

And this radiation, incomparable with the level of the usual average, began to produce many mutations, most of which are deadly for mutant monkeys. Some mutations caused the tail to disappear and, at the same time, an increase in body weight. Clumsy massive monkeys appeared, which could no longer jump along the branches (mass and lack of a tail) and they had to descend to the ground. And there’s little food, just falling from the branches, and predators. Again, a huge number of mutants could not adequately respond to such NEW AND UNUSUAL REQUIREMENTS of a non-arboreal niche in the soil and therefore became extinct. But since such a niche also required adequate intelligence (to live permanently on the ground or on not very tall and thick branches), the brains of surviving individuals began to develop intensively quantitatively (number of neurons) and qualitatively (increasing the number of connections, chains of neurons). But still, there was clearly not enough food, because even though ordinary monkeys sometimes feast on meat and eggs of birds, they are normally vegetarians! And, as already mentioned, there were not enough falling fruits, the usual food, and even the search for something edible growing on the soil was not enough either, so the main requirement of the new niche was the question: WHAT TO EAT AND HOW TO MAKE IT THE NORM. The usual way and way of eating.

Again, many individuals starved to death. The bigger and stronger ones robbed the weaker ones of what they found. And then a brilliant idea came into someone’s monkey head:

If I successfully take food away from the weak and even kill them in a fight, then, licking my lips from drops of blood, I found it tasty and pleasant.

Hence, I can kill the weaker and more stupid ones and EAT THEM!

This is how CANNIBALISM, which has become the NORM for this herd of PREDATORY MONKEYS due to its caloric content and efficiency, was born, strengthened and became a SAVING form for the entire species. The norm, which for two million years has fully justified itself as a WAY OF LIFE! Which NO species in a million or more HAS COME up with in tens or hundreds of millions of years!

A new ecological niche has emerged: CANNIBALISTIC! Very narrow and extremely demanding. The ability to outsmart, kill and eat a neighbor or a stranger from another herd, and SURVIVE by repelling attempts by other fellow cannibals to eat you.

The selection was extremely cruel and ruthless, But even here the Law of Intellectual Conformity was in full effect. And so the intelligence of these predatory monkeys began to develop rapidly: If you are not cunning enough, treacherous, ruthless, constantly wary and skillfully running away from a stronger fellow, you will be eaten and you will not leave offspring.

SO, IT WAS CANNIBALISM AND ONLY CANNIBALISM THAT CREATED MAN, AND MOREOVER IN THE SHORTEST GEOLOGICAL TIME!

And now let’s go back to the beginning of the note.

Is this a smooth and regular evolution, or some extremely unlikely quantum leap in quality that has not been foreseen or prepared by any evolution? A series of purely accidental and almost

incredible coincidences of geological conditions and their specific effects on a certain group of creatures, which made them almost doomed to death as mutants, but managed to survive due to the already developed and two million years of cannibalism perfected in THIS NORMAL WAY of EXISTENCE. intelligence!

CANNIBALISTIC INTELLIGENCE!

No smooth evolution has created anything like this in two billion years in millions of species of the most diverse living beings.

And here, an UNLUCKY and rare accident explosively, “lightning fast”, in just two million years, created the appearance of highly intelligent cannibals, self-styled people!

Truly, there would be no happiness, but misfortune would help!

Therefore, it is not necessary to look for something like this in the universe and consider hundreds of millions or even trillions of planets suitable for the emergence of INTELLIGENCE. Only the cruellest selection of cannibalism as the norm of existence was able to create such creatures. By the way, these mutants could have died out of starvation and no humanity on Earth would have arisen if some mutant hadn’t come up with the idea not just to fight and kill the weak for some fallen banana or coconut, but to kill and feed on its flesh at the same time! And this is NOT a genetic predator at first, but a former vegetarian who involuntarily became a cannibal!!!

I REALLY WANT TO EAT!!!

Look at the long chain of accidents and IMPROBABILITIES that led to the emergence of cannibalistic intelligence.

And the moral: If an intelligence has appeared somewhere, it is only by the Law of Niche Conformity, which means that it is not only extremely rare (AND IT IS GOOD FOR US THAT it IS RARE!!), but our fellow cannibalistic intellects will immediately DEVOUR US, because THEY ARE NOT GIVEN anything else, as well. Just like us, who eat everyone, including ourselves!
