The divine feeling of flying.

Painting by M.Escher “Gravity”

An extremely rare dream of flying, light and free, not even like a bird, but the lightest soaring and movement in the air without the slightest effort.

A wonderful gift to us from the Superconsciousness.

“The flier has been released,

Swinging his two blades,

Like a sea monster in the water,

He dived into the air streams.”

A.Blok, the Aviator

As usual, poets who drink a large portion of alcohol before writing their verses have complete amnesia (memory loss). In the poetic itch of inspiration, poets do not remember WHAT they wrote a couple of lines earlier.

As Peter the Great said: “The creation of poetry in Russia is drinking!” (Minor changes have been made to the original text)

But in general, the poem is strong, “with a mood” and therefore I like it, despite the absurdities and stupidities.

So, flights in dreams.

What causes them? A silly explanation about legs straightened in a dream is not even worth retelling, because both people and animals move their arms, legs and paws in a dream. I’ve seen my sleeping cats meow in their sleep, wiggle their tails, paws, ears, and even bristle their antennae.

Hypotheses appeared.

The first is that our way of thinking in its development repeats biological evolution according to Ernst Haeckel:

“Ontogenesis repeats phylogenesis.”

That is, the embryonal physical development of an individual being repeats the entire course of the process of life development. Both we and, say, chickens repeat the entire course of biological evolution in our embryonic development. At a certain stage, we have gills that then disappear, and a tail that also “dissolves”…

So, perhaps our thinking at certain moments also repeats the thinking of our biological ancestors, fish and birds.

“I am a brother to the beast, and to the lizards. and fish,

I can clearly see the growth of spring-rising grasses,

I pray to the Earth, to its sacred boulders

With loving lips fell down.”

V.Bryusov, To Earth

Perhaps some images of flight and soaring are very rare, but still make their way from the genetic embryonic memory of birds to us, who followed them through many tens of millions years?

The second hypothesis has nothing to do with the first one.

In our brain, in the so-called amygdala (Corpus Amygdalae), there are two most important centers for a living being: the Center of Pleasure and the Center of Suffering, our personal Heaven and Hell. I had read and noticed a couple of times that shortly before death, or RATHER, before losing consciousness, for a short moment, the Center of Suffering is BLOCKED, and the torments that we experienced a second BEFORE losing consciousness suddenly disappear, there comes a kind of blissful state of lightness and detachment from all previous painful sensations, in general from any unpleasant feelings.

The famous surgeon Nikolai Mikhailovich Amosov, having somehow overloaded his sick heart and, rushing to the seminar, fainted upon entering the hall. He described the same similar sensations: “Death is not terrible or painful, a state of almost bliss has set in.” I mentioned this strange phenomenon in the article “Dying is not scary”, almost quoting Amosov in the last pages of his book “Voices of the Times”: “I tell you, it was a pleasant feeling! And the last thought: “It’s not scary to die.”

So, maybe, under the influence of some brain processes when sleeping, this Center of Suffering is ALSO BLOCKED, and then in a dream we suddenly feel an unusual blissful state of freedom from all “EARTHLY THINGS WEIGHING ON US IN THIS VALE OF MISERY” and TAKE OFF?

“And here, in the wavering heat,

In the swirling gloom over the meadow,

Hangars, people, everything earthly,

As if they were pinned to the ground”

A.Blok, the Aviator

The third hypothesis is absolutely fantastic.

The superconsciousness took on certain Temporal Waves from the future, when people, having discovered the true cause of gravity, learned how to design devices that offset this force, and thanks to this scientific and technical progress, they were able to fly like astronauts in an artificial satellite of the Earth in a state of weightlessness.

Or has the brain already received telepathy from the current astronauts floating freely in the ISS?

This is unlikely because people had such dreams LONG BEFORE inhabited satellite stations.

Although, WAIT, I’m contradicting myself. If we CAN Superconsciously receive Temporal Waves from the past and from the future, then people thousands of years ago COULD receive the Temporal Waves of sensations of CURRENT ASTRONAUTS!

However, in my opinion, the first two are the most realistic. especially the second one…

I wish I could!

The feeling is mesmerizing!
