The ancient Roman writer Titus Maccius Plautus, in his comedy “The Donkeys,” expressed an idea that later became a common proverb, and it was almost always used in a completely incorrect sense, different from the original!
Man to man is a wolf! Homo Homini Lupus Est!
Plautus’s meaning is simple and clear: One character in a comedy tells another that he will not give him the money he is asking for because he does not know the person asking or does not know him well. They say that just as a wolf won’t share his food with another wolf he doesn’t know, so one hero won’t give money to a petitioner he doesn’t know.
But the great English philosopher Thomas Hobbes reinterpreted the meaning of this expression in his classic work Leviathan and gave it a much more “predatory and pointed” meaning — meaning that people are constantly hostile to each other like wolves. In fact, both are wrong.: Both Plautus (Smaller) and Hobbes (Radically!): Wolves are quite friendly towards each other when they are full, and the wolf willingly shares food with his she-wolf or cubs!
In this, humans are no different from wolves, and there’s nothing strange about it.
But the essence of human relationships is completely different: Humans have been PARASITIZING each other for two million years! This is the only animal species on Earth that parasitizes individuals of its own kind, and IT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF THIS QUALITY that predatory mutant apes geeks from a genetically normal tribe of monkeys, have become what they call “Homo Sapiens,” or rather, an idiot named Carl Linnaeus, who coined this flattering self-designation for superparasites, stupid, cunning, permanently evil and just as permanently smug.
Because “LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL” AS LONG AS I’M A DEVOURER of everyone else–humans, animals, and anyone else with a joyful guttural rumble.
But FOR SOME REASON, it suddenly stops being beautiful when INEXORABLY, INEVITABLY, and INESCAPABLY, I become DEVOURED BY OTHERS! Devoured by those for whom IT is PRECISELY THIS OCCUPATION that makes THEIR lives wonderful!
What Meanness, what Hypocrisy, what Injustice!!!
You can’t eat me!
It hurts me!
I just want to live a “WONDERFUL” life!
How can you KILL ME???
It’S POSSIBLE AND PERFECT. because SUCH an EVER-DEVOURING life IS WONDERFUL FOR EVERYONE, not just for ME!
And the only salvation from this insane flight of Amok towards the abyss of self–destruction is a radical change in the WAY of THINKING and BEHAVIOR – from a superparasite to a SYMBIONT, that is, a being living harmoniously, in friendship and mutual assistance, with all other living beings on Earth and with themselves!
But a superparasite cannot reach such a simple, more than trivial thought.
HE’S A SUPERPARASITE, AND HE’S SO HAPPY!
LIFE IS WONDERFUL!
