Stupidity with higher education

Education does not add to the mind.

A.Solzhenitsyn, Cancer Ward.

I once asked my school friend, a talented electrical engineer, why he didn’t go into the field of household appliances?

He shrugged his shoulders in response and said: BORING!

What a pity!

Because it follows from this that the most stupid and incompetent engineers go to household appliances. And this is confirmed by “Social Practice,” the absolute and relative criterion of truth, according to Dialectical Materialism.

Two elementary examples of this, well, obvious stupidity.

A microwave oven.

It is equipped with a fan that turns on together with a magnetron that generates short-wave radiation in the resonator of the oven, with a frequency of about two and a half gigahertz, 12.5 cm wavelength.

Since food is usually heated in the oven when it is wet or even very wet, the fan “blows” hot steam out of the chamber. But, with the end of heating by short-wave radiation, the fan also stops working. AND THERE’S PLENTY OF STEAM IN THE CELL. When the oven cools, steam condenses on all “accessible” surfaces inside, including the magnetron. But what’s easier is to put a time relay that will keep the fan on for another three to five minutes.

For what?

To blow out all the remaining steam, drain the camera and the adjacent space with electronics and magnetron.

Auto engineers figured out such a “genius” about fifty years ago, and the engine’s air-cooling fan continues to work for several minutes after the engine is turned off. Yes, it drains the battery a little. But it’s “useful” for the motor.

And the “microwave engineers” CAN’T get to the same thing in ovens!

They probably wouldn’t have thought of such a “genius” idea without Einstein’s brilliant head!!!

Another example.

Refrigerators are now self-defrosting and the chambers are cooled NOT directly from certain cooling panels, but by circulating cold air. It is blown by a fan first into the freezer, and then through a special air duct it enters the general cooling chamber.

But every time the door of the common chamber is opened (it is usually opened much more often than the freezer), the cold air, being heavier than the usual warm apartment air, immediately “pours out” of the chamber and warm air takes its place. By closing the door, we create a slightly increased pressure in the common chamber and warm air immediately rushes into the freezer.

This should be avoided.

How?

Just put a simple hanging “flapping” valve at the outlet of the duct into the common chamber, which will PREVENT warm air from entering the freezer. It is clear to any housewife, but not to the highly intellectual engineers who designed such “stupid” refrigerators.

I sent letters with this proposal to some refrigerator manufacturers a few years ago. They did not deign to answer and continue to produce the same models without a flapper valve.

Such are the mores of the engineering camarilla of idiots.

And how else should we call these “Engineers”, who are unable to reach such an elementary idea, which is difficult to call not just an “invention”, but a simple innovation. Initially, basically, this should have been done many years ago!

If I’m wrong, let my seniors correct me.
